Herbal Remedies for Migraine

Migraine can be simply described as very severe headaches. It usually affects just one side of the head. The pain may last for a full day, without the proper medications.
Migraine could be a symptom of a more severe disorder such as vision, liver, and digestion problems. However, there are instances where migraine is caused by severe metal stress and tension.

To seek relief from migraine using the most common herbal medicines around, the following are strongly suggested:

  • Ginkgo biloba for Migraine: Ginkgo biloba creates a positive effect on the circulation of blood in the brain.
It encourages the delivery of oxygen and reduces the pain and inflammation associated to headaches and migraines.
Take ginkgo biloba supplements regularly for chronic migraine.
  • Migraine and Ginger: Ginger contains active elements that prevent platelet aggregation. It is very effective against migraine as well.
For migraine relief, use ginger powder and mix it in water. Take around 500mg of ginger powder every 4 hours for 4 days whenever migraine strikes. That should do the trick.
  • Passionflower for Migraine: Passionflower is an effective anti-anxiety herb. This is most effective for migraine caused by stress and too much pressure. Take passionflower and experience a relaxing relief from migraine. This herb has been used since the 1900's relief of nervous conditions.
  • Rosemary Treatment: Rosemary is one very relaxing herb. It can ease headaches caused by stress, anxiety, and insomnia. Take rosemary tea on a regular basis and your migraine will be history. Take it during coffee breaks for maximum relief.
  • Feverfew Treatment for Migraine: Feverfew is believed to have lasting effects in the treatment of migraines and headaches.
Take feverfew at the very first sign of headache problems and it should shorten both its duration and intensity. Feverfew is also known to allow blood to freely move into the brain, causing less constriction and inflammation.
